Still Crazy After All These Years II

By Hand Gallery
Exhibit Dates: September 3-24, 2021
Opening Reception: September 3rd from 5–8 pm

Artists have been responding to the chaotic threats to our health, the uncertainty of our livelihoods, and our collective political and social upheaval with introspection and creative action. By Hand Gallery has been showing its artists’ recent works that were made in this fragile environment in Still Crazy After All these Years I and II.

The works Cartouche, (Chronicle of the Orange King), Which Came First (the chicken or the eggplant)?, Marionette, and Cicada gesture satirically, absurdly, and playfully on the state of things. Others – Looking Forward and Every Kind of Happy express hopeful anticipation, while Bare Cedar in Early Spring depicts isolation and All Dolled Up l & ll present us with personas of harmonious beauty with an interior in disarray.

This exhibition includes the work of Julie Bloom, Dale Enochs, Abby Gitlitz, Alexander Landerman, Bonnie Gordon Lucas, Amy Norgard, Michelle Pollock, David Joseff Sloma, Susan Snyder, and Brian Talbert.

The exhibit is free and open to the public.
