Fueled by a lifelong passion for travel and photography, in 2014 Sharon and Jessica Bussert purchased an RV, moved in, and hit the road. For the next 3 years they spent much of their time wandering the US with their dog and cat along for the ride. The journey took them from their home state of Indiana to the West Coast. The couple spent extensive time visiting some of our National Parks, state parks, and various towns along the way. During their journey Sharon and Jessica experimented with various photographic processes including tin types, ambrotypes, and pinhole photography. They shot with both modern digital cameras and a 70 year old large format. An ice fishing tent became their mobile darkroom.
The journey begins and ends in Brown County, Indiana where their main gallery is located. Fog House and Waterfall at Strahl Lake pay tribute to the beauty of Indiana. Other images highlight a few favorite stops from their journey on the road —Yosemite National Park, the Oregon Coast, Northern California, the Nevada desert, Glacier National Park, and the Columbia River Gorge.
All images are chemically processed and printed to Kodak archival papers. Prints are available dry-mounted or with traditional matting and framing in a variety of sizes by special order.
