This December’s show will be the work of local artists and artisans. Forty-five years ago, By Hand had its first holiday exhibition of local artist’s work. By Hand was created as a place where local artists could come together to make their art available to the public and this is what we still do. Two of the original artists are still selling at By Hand, while for other artists, this will be their very first year. We have jewelers, painters, print makers, potters, woodworkers, weavers, dyers, knitters, stone carvers, glass workers, photographers, a puzzle maker and many, many, others all working to produce skilled creative work.
Come join us over the holidays and ‘Deck your Halls’ with work, both ornamental and useful, by Local Artists.
By Hand Gallery is a locally owned, cooperative gallery that currently has 12 artisan members. By Hand Gallery has been in the Bloomington community for over 30 years and has a reputation for selling art works that are of superior design and quality artisanship. Besides our cooperative members, there are over 70 artists who sell their work through By Hand Gallery.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
